This whole week has been amazing, but Yesterday was EPIC. I got to the mtn just before 8am, put my boots, grabbed my skis and headed up to DRC, probably one of the first 15 maybe 20 people in line. It looked like DRC longside was going to open, the mechanics tried to get it, but it was just too windy, so they decided to use the bullwinkles transport instead to get people up to the t-bar. As we waited for the cat, the line became longer and people became restless. The beginning of the line moved a few times and unfortunatly some of the first people in line were edged out. I ended up getting on the first cat and was the last up the t-bar from that first group. I got to the top of the t-bar and hiked up to Spillway, stopped in the shack to rest for a minute and then skied across Spillway X-Cut and over to Cabin Fever(or whatever its called today) skied that and then went for a trek out to GForce where I found some EPIC powder. There was so much snow I could just point em and go, didn't really have to worry about picking up too much speed, I got face shot after face shot, it was incredible. I ended up at King Pine and skied Cross Haul back to the base where I found quite a long line waiting for the cat. I decided that one run was good enough and quit for the day.
