The leaves in the valley are pretty much at peak foliage and many leaves have already dropped, its starting to get colder, but needs to get much colder to start making snow. Homecoming was busy as usual with lots of things going on and the weather was perfect. They should start working on the Bullwinkles expansion soon and there is also some work being done to the entrance to the hotel. Also work continues on the Outdoor Center. Stay Tuned for updates.
Homecoming weekend is this coming weekend, there will be lots of stuff going on. The informational meeting will be saturday at 10am, that should be very interesting. The leaves are all turning and will probably be peak this weekend. The mtn is getting ready for ski season, there not leaving everything till last minute this year. The trails have been mowed, most of them anyway, and lots of brush has been cut. A new snowmaking pump, basically a booster, was added just above the superquad on Tote Road and we will be getting some new fan guns. Some new snowmaking pipe was also added and Gondi Mid Station was torn down. Bullwinkles is going to get some sort of expansion, seems a little late to start construction. If it gets cold enough I bet we'll see a snowmaking test soon.
