For the last day of March it wasnt a very warm day, temps in the high 20's on the mtn and probably mid 30's at the base. It was sunny and a little windy. King Pine did not run today because of wind and Timberline did not run because there isnt enough snow around the top of the lift. Conditions today are still quite firm, The Lower Mtn did soften a little.

Today was sunny with Temps in the 20's and it was very windy, The Superquad was open but Spillway was not. The T-Bar ran today and All trails East of Sluice were closed today due to wind, and frozen surfaces. Conditions were not good, but Ive seen it much worse, it was very firm, lots of ice to be found, The Lower half of the Lower Mtn softened up in the afternoon, looks like it may be a little softer tomorrow but its still supposed to be windy. Saturday looks to be a very good day.

Today wasn't a bad day, it wasn't incredible, but I thought it was fairly decent, I went out around noon, everyone I talked to said the conditions were horrible, but it really wasn't. It is quite icy, but there is also plenty of corn on top. Today temps were in the high 20's, low 30's, it was cloudy and a little windy, it started raining around 3pm. My last run was down Double Bitter, it wasnt bad on the left side. Nobody seems to have any idea of when Closing day is, but I hope its the 22nd.

Winter is not over

It was a wintery blustery day today, temps in the teens, mostly cloudy with snow falling most of the morning and lots of wind. Conditions on the groomed trails was incredible, Timberline and Glancer were the trails of the day, all groomed trails were packed powder with a few inches of fresh snow. I Ventured down Winters Way today and it wasnt bad, the bumps were firm but with the fresh snow it was actually quite good. There is still a lot of nasty crust out there.

Monday, March 19, 2007

It was a little colder today than I expected, we had temps in the low 20's and teens, it was sunny and a little windy, Timberline was on hold today for wind and conditions. Conditions today were very good as long as you stayed on the groomers, anything ungroomed is treacherous and there is a lot of crust. The Trail of the day was Glancer.

Sunday, March 18, 2007

What an interesting weekend, yesterday we got about 12 inches of heavy dense granular snow, today we had temps in the low 20's, it was mostly sunny and there was a little wind, Timberline was not open today. Conditions are hard packed and Granular, its very heavy granular. Anything ungroomed is not very good, very crusty. It will be interesting too see how it grooms out tonight.

Snow is on the way

The Weather today was quite interesting, this morning temps were in the high 40's, it was raining and the mtn was covered in fog, then this afternoon the temp dropped, it was 32 degrees at 1PM and i saw some flurries at 1:30 and the cloud started to lift. Conditions today were springlike and very mushy snow, there are a lot of bare spots and a few trails are closed. The trails that have been recently groomed were actually quite good, but Glancer was horrible each turn you took you sank right down to the ground. The storm thats coming tomorrow night should help things out a lot.

Conditions were great. upper Widowmaker was a little sketchy and has been all year, but lower Widowmaker was great as was Flume and Ramdown. Wedge and Whiffletree were both perfect packed powder. Gondi Line and White Nitro were both in very good condition today, no scratchy spots to be found. Glancer was not groomed but was actually quite good. The Snow softened up as the day went on. Best Day of The Week

Today was a great day, a mix of sun and clouds, a little wind and temps in the mid 30's at the base and 20's at the top. Conditions are springlike, hard and fast, it is a little scratchy but that happens in the spring, there was some granular but the skiing wasn't bad. All Lifts ran today. This week looks a bit interesting weather wise, we'll see lots of clouds and maybe some snow and maybe a mix.

What an incredible Week

Wow, what an incredible week, its been warm and sunny for the past 5 days and tomorrow we are getting another snow storm where we could see up to 2 feet of snow. Today it was sunny with temps in the 20's and no wind. Conditions are incredible but the new snow is sure going to help, because it is starting to get a bit firm. There is still plenty of good snow to be found in the woods and the bump trails are doing good, the bumps are quite firm, but they'll be much softer tomorrow afternoon. The Groomed trails are mostly packed powder, there is a little hard packed to be found. Haulback was good today, plenty of good snow. Upper Widowmaker was a little firm but the lower half is perfect. Upper Gondi Line and White Nitro were both in really good shape, a little firm, but definitly carvable. Lower Boomauger was a bit firm today but fun. Powder Keg isnt bad, lots of big firm bumps, but plenty of coverage. Timberline was in better shape today than yesterday, it was all packed powder as was Windrow and Glancer, also West Mountain was groomed and i skied the West Mtn X-Cut. Rookie River has some good coverage.

Narrow Gauge was closed for racing today.
